Back in May we got the chance to shoot in the stunning Villa Catignano in Siena for Fiona & Andy’s wedding. This was our first time shooting in Italy and I really hope there are many more opportunities in the future – it is a stunning country. To say our travel experience into Italy was eventful would be an major understatement, beginning with our suitcases being left behind in Ireland, arriving at our accommodation at 12:30 at night after a delayed flight, waking up on the morning of the wedding to run the streets of Siena to get suitable clothes to wear to the wedding and using the strap of Jesse’s buggy bag as an alternative to my camera holdfasts – yes it was eventful! BUT when we arrived at the Villa and met Fiona & Andy – two total legends whilst pulling off the labels of our new clothes, it all melted away and we had an absolute blast with them all day long and with all their friends and family.
They booked a whole host of awesome suppliers and brought over Tippy Logronio, make up artist extraordinaire and the brilliant Forever Social Weddings to capture their wedding film – all this awesomeness coupled with the creative vision of Lusso Events Wedding Planner, Tracey…it was a total beaut-fest. From start to finish, and not forgetting the crazy Pool party the day after, it was one amazingly magical day. Definitely the highlight for us was documenting Fiona and Andy as they danced under the twinkling Italian night sky as the iPhone played One day like this by Elbow all on their own. It was a goosebumps moment for us, so we can just imagine how it felt to be them 🙂
An absolute joy of a wedding and we hope you enjoy it.
