We are so excited to share the second wedding from our USA adventures last September. This was the last stop on our trip – we left Salt Lake City, Utah where we celebrated Megan and Isaac’s Canyon wedding and travelled to the flatlands of Haxtun, Colorado, 602 miles across the country for Audrey and Jesse’s Colorado Barn wedding.
These guys took the term ‘DIY’ to another level, converting one of the barns on Audrey’s father’s land into what would become their wedding venue. So many of the family pitched in from furnishing the barn, preparing the ceremony location, officiating the vows, making the bouquets and all the little bits in between – the overall effect was breath-taking.
Audrey and Jesse decided to do a ‘first look’ before their ceremony and we took some portraits around the farm and neighbouring area. This was so special for Audrey as the farm played such an important part in her life, especially the trees and old shed area where her parents had said their wedding vows!
An incredible day from start to finish but a highlight was definitely the ceremony where Jesse and Audrey said their vows in a field amongst their close friends and family before planting their own tree, as a memory to the place where they said ‘I do’.
