Doing a little throwback in todays blog to Rachel & Leighs Chilled Garden DIY wedding which we had the absolute joy to document over a year ago – where has the time gone!
We first started talks with Leigh, who himself is a very talented wedding photographer, about their plans to hold their wedding on the front garden of Rachel’s home, on the grounds of Funny Farm adventures in Castwellan. We knew instantly that it was going to be an absolute blast – safe to say it didn’t disappoint!
Rachel and Leigh had dreamt of having a first look on the morning of their wedding and to make it unique to them. They decided to do it in maize maze (yes, a maze made from maize). So, we hid Leigh in the maze and Rachel had to search and find him for the big reveal.
First looks are incredible, we can’t recommend them enough because it allows couple to share this special moment together in a more private setting.
After the first look, we explored around their local beauty spot Tollymore Forest Park with their bridal party, before returning to Rachel’s family home where friends and family had gathered on the front lawn for the ceremony.
There is so much we could say about their wedding day – they are a bubble of energy and being around them is infectious. We had so much fun with them and their families/friends made us feel part of the day. By the end we weren’t sure if we were guests or photographers we had such much craic ;)Oh and the night before in one of the outdoor pods was incredible. Thanks guys!
